Therese was born an brought up in Croom, County Limerick. She was a pupil of Mount St.Vincent’s in Limerick City. She entered the nursing profession as a Student Nurse At Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, Somerset, England. After qualifying as and R.G.N. she moved back to Ireland and began nursing in Dublin and eventually Limerick. After a few years in Ireland she was offered the opportunity of setting up the 400 bedded childrens hospitals in Sulumania, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She was so successful in this task that she was invited to become its first Director of Nursing by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health. On the successful completion of her contract Therese returned to nurse in Limerick, Ireland until once again she was invited to become the Director of Nursing in the New Jeddah Clinic Hospital in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.                                                                                  Therese quickly and successfully implemented in-house training policies and Quality Assurance

procedures to ARAMCO and accepted world standards. After a highly successful and rewarding five (5) years contract she decided to return home and seek out a new challenge. On returning home she decided to continue her studies, earning a Diplomas in the following subjects: Quality Assurance, Legal Studies, Family Law, Social Studies, Counselling Psychology & Therapy.                         Never being one to rest on her laurels, she decided to write a book of her personal experiences of Nursing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, published under the name of “Nursing in Black” by Minerva Press. She then decided in 1996 that rather than go to work for someone else she would start her own business because she could see a need for Nursing aftercare which for one reason or another the Health Services could not provide. Originally called TLC Nursing Agency it was found that in order to maintain our Clients quality of life additional Nursing / Homecare Aids would need to be provided, hence the change in name toTLC Nursing Services. We now provide a total healthcare package from professional caring Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Carers and wheelchairs/walking aids/bedroom and bathroom aids. We also provide Nursing care on flight and ferry accompaniment to Clients on international travel to and from Ireland to destinations as diverse as Britain, Portugal and China.                                                         TLC Nursing Services has built up a reputation for quality caring staff and it is one that we and our staff are rightly proud of and one that we work hard to maintain. We know that we are only as good as the Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Carers that we employ and send to you our Clients.
